The results of the 2017 Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O-Level) examination will be released on Friday, 12 January 2018. School candidates may collect their results from their schools at 2.30pm that day.

Students who wish to apply for admission to Junior Colleges (JCs), Millennia Institute, polytechnics, or the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) may do so via the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) using their GCE O-Level examination results.

JAE registration will open from 3.00pm on Friday, 12 January 2018 to 4.00pm on Wednesday, 17 January 2018. Eligible applicants who sat for the 2017 GCE OLevel examination will receive Form A2 on the day of the release of the examination results. Applicants are strongly encouraged to use the course application worksheet (provided in Form A or the JAE information booklet) before submitting their online application via the JAE Internet System (JAE-IS) at https://www.moe.gov.sg/admissions/jae.

Results of Application
The posting results of the JAE application are scheduled for release on Thursday, 1 February 2018 through the following modes:
a. JAE-IS, which is accessible through the JAE website;
b. SMS to the mobile number provided by the applicant during registration.
Applicants posted to Junior Colleges or Millennia Institute are to report to their posted institutions on Friday, 2 February 2018. For applicants posted to polytechnics and ITE, they will receive a letter from their respective schools.

Direct School Admission – Junior Colleges
Students who had accepted offers through the 2017 Direct School Admission – Junior Colleges (DSA-JC) Exercise will be admitted to their chosen JC if they have met the eligibility criteria for admission based on their GCE O-Level examination results.
Students admitted to a JC through DSA-JC will not be eligible to participate in the JAE.
Students who do not meet the JC admission criteria may take part in the JAE to apply for courses which they are eligible for.

Early Admissions Exercise – Polytechnics
Students who had accepted conditional offers to a polytechnic course through the Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) in 2017 and have their offers confirmed based on their GCE O-Level examination results will not be eligible to participate in the JAE.

Their EAE offers are confirmed if they meet the following criteria:
a. A net ELR2B2 4 score of 26 points or better for the GCE O-Level examinations; and
b. Minimum Entry Requirements for the respective polytechnic course.
