The Ministry of Education provides financial assistance to needy Singapore Citizen students in Government, Government-aided schools, Specialised Schools, and Institute of Higher Learning so that all Singaporeans so that they can benefit from the best opportunities in education. It also provides financial assistance to Singapore Citizen students from lower and middle income families.

Students who are eligible must meet the following criteria :
– Are Singapore Citizens.
– Attend government or government-aided schools.
– Have a monthly gross household income of $2,750 or less, or a monthly per capita household income of $690 or less.
– Difference between gross household income and per capita household income
– To calculate per capita income, divide the monthly gross household income by the number of people living in the same household. This allows students from larger families to benefit from the scheme.

 MOE FAS, your child will receive:
– A waiver of $5 per month for school fees.
– A waiver of $10 per month for standard miscellaneous fees.
– Free textbooks and school attire.
– $120 transport credit per year if your child takes public transport.
– A $2.50 per meal subsidy of school meals, applicable to 10 meals per school week.
