We hope your child is adjusting well to Term 3.
The prolonged suspension of school activities due to COVID-19 has had an impact on students’ holistic development. In tandem with the Back-to-School plans, NCHS will commence an alternative mode of delivery of eCCA to bring back key essential elements of school activities for the students.
Similar to home-based learning, a combination of online activities will be conducted to provide students with meaningful learning experiences. While eCCA cannot fully replicate the right learning experiences and outcomes of CCA, we will work closely with instructors to curate lesson plans and instructional resources to maximise students’ learning.
Students’ Safety and Well-Being
To safeguard the physical and socio-emotional well-being of the students, NCHS will put in place routines and safety parameters such as proper attire and sufficient space for safe physical activities. CCA teachers will host all LIVE eCCA sessions via Google Meet and will be present throughout every session. All instructors have been briefed and will adhere to the code of conduct in accordance to the standing policy and guidelines stated by MOE.
Frequency, Duration and Students’ Participation
LIVE eCCA sessions will be conducted once a week, with each session lasting 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the nature of the planned activities in different CCA. Attendance for eCCA is optional and is not required under Participation Domain of LEAPS 2.0 in students’ CCA records. Nonetheless, we strongly encourage students to participate actively for a good balance of their holistic development. Detailed schedules and rationale of these online sessions will be communicated separately via the respective CCA Teachers.
